Working at the Charterhouse means joining a small friendly team of committed individuals carrying out a wide range of valued roles primarily focused on supporting the contemporary almshouse and maintaining the fabric of our historic buildings. Our team also supports public engagement with our heritage and income generation to support our charity.

Event Manager/ Venue Hire Coordinator

We are looking to recruit an Event Manager/ Venue Hire Coordinator who is pro-active and customer-focused, to join our Venue Hire team to deliver first class customer service. The position provides an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a significant contribution to an ambitious heritage site with a burgeoning Venue Hire business in the heart of London.

The Charterhouse is an exceptional events venue in central London, occupying historic buildings and seven acres of private gardens. Our spaces are used for London Fashion Week, photo shoots, major feature films, corporate events, private parties and weddings.

The Venue Hire Coordinator’s key responsibility is to collaborate with the Venue Hire team to enhance business growth through innovative upselling strategies. This role demands a commitment to exceptional customer service, effective management of front-of-house staff, and the execution of events with precision. Additionally, robust administrative skills are essential to ensure seamless operations within the venue hire department.
