Death Cafe Islington

As part of our Good Neighbours initiative here at the Charterhouse we are delighted to host our first Death Café here in May.  There are Death Cafés popping up all over the country giving people the chance to get together, drink tea and eat cake, and get more comfortable talking about death, and in turn, sharing ideas on how to make more of our finite lives!

There’s no agenda or objectives – just an opportunity to talk about a subject we often don’t get to discuss openly.

We are hosting the Café in association with Islington Age UK and Gentle Dusk as part of an Islington-wide Dying Matters Festival, which also features photography exhibitions and open air cafés.

Pat, who has attended another Gentle Dusk Death Café event says:
“It is a great opportunity to talk about a subject that preoccupies us all. Give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.”

The Café is free (a donation of £2.50 is suggested) and open to everyone.

You can book your place at info@gentledusk.org or just come on the day.
