Ask the Gardeners!

WE ARE SORRY THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED Following the success of our Flower Power online festival last September, our Head Gardener Kate Robinson has invited back a panel of gardening experts to join her for “Ask the Gardeners”- our very own online gardeners’ question time! This is your chance to spend a fantastically useful hour in the company of Kate, Ash Edwards of Horatio’s Garden, Sarah Whiting of Nettlewood Flowers and Charlotte Muswell of Boma Garden Centre, while they answer your most pressing gardening conundrums.  Kate manages the lovely walled gardens here planning colour and interest throughout the seasons, Ash is a specialist in creating gardens giving access and enjoyment to people in wheelchairs, Sarah is a flower expert – especially flowers for growing and cutting throughout the year, and Charlotte is the houseplant specialist.  Book now to plumb their combined knowledge and enjoy an hour of gardening talk and expertise. Tickets are just £5 – and you will be asked to submit your questions before the event.

Welcome to Flower Power!

The Charterhouse presents Flower Power! Our celebration of power of flowers, gardens and gardening and the pleasure and wellbeing they bring. All across the world of social media, it is abundantly evident that this theme has resonance for so many of us.  Together with our lovely friends Leigh Chappell and Sarah Whiting we have curated a two day festival of talks, films and demonstrations – to highlight the happiness flowers and gardens bring us, and at the same time raise awareness of both our charity, which is sorely in need as we have no income from public tours, events or from venue hire, and the plight of the British-grown flower business. Join our own Head Gardener, extraordinary community gardeners, renowned florists and urban landscape designers, plus specialists in health and wellbeing for an uplifting and fascinating programme.
