Christmas Carol Concert

We are very sad and disappointed to announce that, due to the latest Covid restrictions and our own concern for visitor and resident safety, we have decided not to invite the public in for our special Christmas Carol Concert in our Chapel.

However we are going ahead with the Carol Concert and giving everyone the opportunity to join us online! The wonderful Pegasus Choir will be there as will our readers, including ‘Call the Midwife’ star Jenny Agutter, plus acclaimed historian and writer Tracy Borman, and Brother Mansel David. Some of the Brothers will attend in the Chapel.  If you made a booking to come in person you should have received an email from us (please contact museum@thecharterhouse.org if not).  We hope you will decide to join our online audience.

If you haven’t yet booked to join us for the virtual concert there is still time to do so –  it is free, but we would very much appreciate a donation to the charity.   Advance booking only – book your tickets here.  Thank you to The Drapers’ Company for their kind support.

Christmas Carol Service at the Charterhouse

If you missed our Christmas Carol Service in the Chapel for the Brothers, you can still share it with us here! Enjoy a service of readings and music in preparation for Christmas, including wonderful singing from our friends the Pegasus Choir, and carols played in the Chapel by our organist Brother Graham Matthews. We were delighted we were able to create this event this year complete with decorations and candles, despite restrictions, and it was all the more joyful to have you with us!  We are grateful to the Worshipful Company of Drapers who sponsored the service to help us with making it a great live event.   Join us here online now!

Sorry – the concert tickets are all sold out! Please join us for what promises to be our most memorable Carol Concert to date!  Raise up your voices to sing your favourite carols, and immerse yourselves in the sublime sound of the Pegasus Choir, in the wonderful festive atmosphere of our Jacobean Chapel. This year we are delighted to present a host of special celebrity readers including writers Bonnie Greer and Tracey Borman, bringing Christmas stories vividly to life.  Mingle beforehand with a mince pie and cup of warming mulled wine (included in the ticket price) at this celebratory evening.
