Visitors will be taken back in time when Abbeys, Priories and Monasteries covered the land, all home to different Orders of Monks and Nuns.

Find out the similarities & differences between the Orders.

Do YOU know what differentiates a Carthusian from a Dominican, or a Benedictine from a Franciscan? Many Orders of Monks and Nuns will be represented, including some Military Orders such as the infamous Templars.

There will be an array of fine artefacts, objects for handling and discussion, ‘Know your Saints’, Books of Hours and the Holy Office of 8 Services, a Medieval Altar and the daily life of a Carthusian brother at Charterhouse.
