Open Gardens evenings are back!

We are delighted to be offering two Open Gardens events this summer. Spend a relaxing early evening with us enjoying an informal barbeque and drink, and listening to music by students of Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity Laban, while wandering around our beautiful gardens, designed to enhance and complement this extraordinary historic site.  These private gardens are tended with care all year round by our Head Gardener and her team for the benefit and pleasure of the residents who live here in the almshouse, and are rarely opened to the public.  Don’t miss this opportunity to discover this enchanted haven in the heart of bustling central London. 5.30 – 8.30pm. (NB Food and drink are not included in the ticket price – and we’re sorry we request that you do not bring picnics with you. Please see T&Cs).  Tickets still available for Thursday 26th August.

Ask the Gardeners!

WE ARE SORRY THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED Following the success of our Flower Power online festival last September, our Head Gardener Kate Robinson has invited back a panel of gardening experts to join her for “Ask the Gardeners”- our very own online gardeners’ question time! This is your chance to spend a fantastically useful hour in the company of Kate, Ash Edwards of Horatio’s Garden, Sarah Whiting of Nettlewood Flowers and Charlotte Muswell of Boma Garden Centre, while they answer your most pressing gardening conundrums.  Kate manages the lovely walled gardens here planning colour and interest throughout the seasons, Ash is a specialist in creating gardens giving access and enjoyment to people in wheelchairs, Sarah is a flower expert – especially flowers for growing and cutting throughout the year, and Charlotte is the houseplant specialist.  Book now to plumb their combined knowledge and enjoy an hour of gardening talk and expertise. Tickets are just £5 – and you will be asked to submit your questions before the event.
