Welcome to the sixth in our series of video diaries from our Head Gardener Kate Robinson – where she shows us around the gardens of the Charterhouse, looking at the different planting schemes and including tips on planting and maintenance.
While we are in lockdown Kate is the only member of the gardening team on-site – but she’s getting help from some of the Brothers and more recently some of the volunteers too.
Here Kate takes us into Preacher’s Court and a tour around the beds in July. She focuses in on the irises which are getting a bit congested and shows how to thin them out and prepare for replanting.
